Evidence-based Solutions

Since its inception in 1991, AMS is a research and consultancy organisation known for excellence in socio-economic & development research, consulting and training services. It has conducted till date over 650 assignments of research & consultancy across various sectors of development, including education, livelihood & income generation, poverty alleviation, public health and sanitation, agriculture, women & child development and social welfare etc., for its eminent clients.

Having a Pan India presence, it has allowed the organisation to successfully take up large number of assignments with both State specific and Pan India samples. Thus, we have a vast experience in conducting various studies including impact assessment, monitoring & evaluation, validation & verification of data, capacity building, baseline & end line surveys for providing evidence-based solutions and valuable inputs for proper implementation.


Data Collection to Facilitate Policy-Making

AMS is known for its excellent track-record in collecting, processing, analyzing, and managing voluminous data under the large-scale socio-economic & demography surveys of prime national importance. AMS has successfully executed several surveys across length and breadth of the country, covering huge number of households and beneficiaries, of the likes of Annual Health Survey (AHS), National Family Health Survey (NFHS-4), Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS - II), Rapid Survey on Children (RSOC), CAB under AHS, Base Line Survey under Sample Registration System (SRS), etc.

AMS boasts of an extensive network of field teams comprising of managers, coordinators, supervisors and interviewers / enumerators. Having been inducted only after due diligence, all of these are highly accomplished and experienced enough in collecting quality data (both primary and secondary) within the stipulated timelines from the targeted respondents. Besides, AMS is adept at identifying patterns, features and themes based on qualitative data, and generating indicators based on quantitative data. For the same, AMS uses structured & validated data collection instruments that are developed particularly for the purpose.


Data Analytics for Critical Insights

We have a full-fledged data processing unit wherein a dedicated team of 20 IT professionals (Software Developers & Data Executives) is deployed. Besides, AMS has an in-house team of about 100 Data Coders who are responsible for scrutinizing the qualitative data collected through open-ended questions. This team caters to the data processing & analysis works for all the large-scale surveys undertaken by our organisation.

Having been involved in multiple large-scale surveys, the organization has in its possession a ready stock of Mini laptops and tablet devices of its own to conduct the CAPI based surveys.

In addition to collecting high quality data from field using specialized, exhaustive schedules, the organization also specializes in processing the collected data, using state-of-the-art statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, etc.), for generating reliable estimates for the vital indicators of development.


Capacity Building

About Training assignments, we have more than 15 years of experience in conducting trainings & capacity building programs across various domains. Few of the programs such as 2-day Orientation Training of ICDS Supervisors in Bihar for BTAST for Directorate of ICDS, Govt. of Bihar, Capacity Building Program for Uttarakhand Water Supply & Sanitation Project for Peri Urban Areas, Training of AWWs in 16 Polio High Risk Blocks of Badaun district in Uttar Pradesh for UNICEF, Training of Uddeepikas in Bihar etc. highlight our experience & expertise in the sector. Our experience in designing of training modules/curricula is evidentfrom assignments such as Designing of Training Kit & Capacity Building of ICDS Program Managers on SABLA Scheme in 22 Districts of Uttar Pradesh and Awareness & Communication strategy under the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana for GIZ.

AMS has also undertaken several studies for training, sensitization and capacity building of personnel such as, Sensitization of PRI members on NRHM; customized Training of Medical Officers under Management Development Program (MDP); Training of Chikitsa Prabandhan Samitis (CPS) on Hospital Autonomy; Training of frontline functionaries on IYCF/Mother and Child Protection Card; Training of School Health Teams under NRHM Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) worker salong with enhancing capacities of training institutions etc.
